The Des Moines Christian Church (formerly the Des Moines Church of Christ) was planted by a group of 18 disciples from all over the Midwest. They had a dream of building a church of true disciples of Jesus from every age, race, and socio-economic background in Des Moines. It is inspiring to see that dream becoming a reality and we are far from done. We are still dreaming of bringing Christ’s love to every community and every generation in Des Moines and beyond.

OUR STORY

WHAT MAKES DES MOINES CHRISTIAN CHURCH SPECIAL?

1.png

Authenticity

We strive to be real disciples of Jesus — loving Him, following Him, and serving Him with all our hearts.  We are honest about our weakness, grateful for his grace, and eager to grow stronger.

Diversity

We are one of the most diverse churches in Iowa — comprised of many different races, ages, occupations, education, socioeconomically. But we are completely unified by our common love for God and one another.

Family

We are not just a meeting place or a religious organization, we are a family.  We are devoted to accepting, serving, helping, and loving one another as Jesus intended.
